Bitso
Bitso is a well-known Bitcoin exchange platform in Latin America. To buy Bitcoin, you need to create an account and complete an identity verification process. While this process is fast and automatic, it is important to complete it in advance and have your Bitcoins ready before requesting our services to avoid delays or payment issues.
1 Download the app
Start by downloading and installing the official Bitso app on your phone. You can find it in the iOS or Android app store under "Bitso: Save and invest easily", or click on one of the images below:
2 Create an account
Once the app is installed, it’s time to create your account.
Registration is simple and works like any other app. Just follow the on-screen instructions.
After creating your account, you must complete identity verification. You’ll need to take a photo of your ID and a short video of your face. The process is automatic, and the app guides you step by step. It usually takes just a few minutes.
Once your identity is verified, your account will be fully ready to use.
Identity verification is a legal requirement. Bitso is registered in Mexico and complies with anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing regulations. Your reason for buying Bitcoin remains private, and your transactions are anonymous. Bitso only verifies that the funds come from an account in your name, without affecting your privacy.
3 Add funds
Now that you’ve created your account and verified your identity, you need to add funds to your Bitso account before you can buy Bitcoin.
You will make the deposit in your country's local currency. Bitso is available in several Latin American countries and accepts various payment methods, as follows:
Argentina - Bank Transfer in Argentine Pesos (ARS).
Colombia - PSE in Colombian Pesos (COP).
Mexico - SPEI Transfer in Mexican Pesos (MXN).
To make the deposit:
- Open the Bitso app.
- Tap the menu icon located at the top-left of your screen.
- Tap "Deposit".
- Select the payment method you want to use.
- Follow the instructions to complete the payment.
Once Bitso receives your payment, the money will be deposited into your account, and you will be able to use it to buy Bitcoin, as explained in the next step.
4 Buy Bitcoin
If you already have funds deposited into your Bitso account, you can now buy Bitcoin. To do so, follow these steps:
- Open the Bitso app.
- Tap the menu icon located at the top-left of your screen.
- Tap "Buy".
- Type "BTC" in the "Search assets" box.
- Tap the "BTC Bitcoin" result that appears below.
- Enter the amount you want to exchange for Bitcoin, or tap "Max" to use your full balance.
- Tap "Continue" and follow the instructions to confirm the purchase.
Congratulations! You’ve successfully bought Bitcoin.
5 Make payment
You can now keep your bitcoins in your Bitso account until it’s time to pay for our service.
When it’s time to pay, simply send the bitcoins to our bitcoin address.
If you already have an order with us, you can find our bitcoin address in the Order Tracking section. If you don’t have an order yet, you can contact us to request one.
To send the bitcoins to our address, follow these steps:
- Open the Bitso app.
- Tap the menu icon located at the top-left of your screen.
- Tap "Send".
- Tap "Crypto".
- Select "Bitcoin".
- Enter the amount to send, or tap "Use maximum available" to send your full balance.
- Select "Crypto Address" as the sending method.
- Enter our Bitcoin address.
- Confirm the transaction.
