Trust
Trust Wallet is one of the most popular apps for safely buying and storing Bitcoin. It is easy to use, and the entire process is simple. While most purchases are completed within minutes, occasional delays may occur. For this reason, we highly recommend setting up your wallet and purchasing the required bitcoins before hiring our service to avoid any potential payment delays later on.
1 Download the app
Start by downloading and installing the Trust app on your phone. You can find it in the official iOS or Android store under the name "Trust: Crypto & Bitcoin Wallet", or simply click the appropriate image below:
2 Set up your wallet
Once the app is installed, it’s time to set up your wallet.
To do so, follow these steps:
- Open the Trust Wallet app.
- Tap "Create a new wallet".
- You’ll be prompted to create a 6-digit passcode. Make sure to remember it, as you may be locked out of your wallet if you forget it.
- You’ll be asked if you want to use biometrics (Fingerprint, Face Unlock, etc.) for authentication. This way, you won’t need to enter your passcode every time. We recommend enabling it, but you can skip this step if you prefer.
- You’ll be asked if you want to enable notifications. You can allow them (recommended) or skip this step.
- Tap "Skip" in the top-right corner of your screen.
At this point, your wallet has been created, but it does not have any balance yet. Continue to the next step, where we explain how to add funds.
3 Buy Bitcoin
It is important to note that Bitcoin purchases through Trust Wallet are provided by third-party companies that charge a 5% commission. This means you will receive Bitcoin worth 5% less than the amount you pay. For this reason, to purchase the correct amount of Bitcoin, you need to add 5% to your intended purchase amount. If you are unsure how to calculate it, simply multiply the amount you wish to buy by 1.05, and the result will be the total amount you need to pay, including the commission.
Now that your wallet is set up, follow these steps to buy Bitcoin:
- Open the Trust Wallet app.
- Below where it says "Explore tokens", tap "Bitcoin".
- Tap "Buy".
- Tap "Fund wallet".
- Enter the amount you want to spend on Bitcoin.
- Under "Pay with", select your preferred payment method from the options available in your country.
- Tap "Continue".
- Follow the instructions to complete your purchase. Once completed, your bitcoins will be credited to your Trust Wallet balance.
In some cases, you may be asked to complete identity verification when purchasing Bitcoin. While this does not always happen and there are no fixed rules that determine when it will be required, it remains a possibility. If verification is requested, there is no need to worry. These companies are legally registered and regulated, and any information you provide is protected by privacy laws. The purpose of this verification is to confirm that you are making the Bitcoin purchase with your own credit/debit card or bank account, as fraudulent transactions involving stolen cards are common.
